Can we see the source somewhere… I hope other developers, like me, with not so much advanced knowledge can benefit as well. 10q

I don’t have any plans to release source code right now. the code would need to go through a lot of cleaning and I use several third party assets which i could not distribute.

If you’re interested in the implementation of anything specific let me know and I may be able to help you out.

I am interested in making similar game, but there are too many open questions that I don’t know where to start and how to do it.. I have experience developing Apps in general but not games. Sooo if not open sourcing maybe some seria of blog posts would be good idea. Something like you are explaining concepts and implementations of parts of game development… I guess a lot of people would be interested but it depends how much time you would have to do it… :S
p.s. in any case, can you give advice how to start with such a game development when I have good experience with framework in general? Thanks

As far as framework I use the free version of Unity3d. Although it was originally meant for 3d development it has recently added native support for 2d games (I personally have been using third party plugins to do 2d easily). It is a great tool with a huge community!

There is a tutorial here http://catlikecoding.com/blog/post:unity-runner-tutorial about doing a 2d runner in unity. Also if you dig through the forums there are a few discussions on the subject.

One of the best things about Unity is the asset store. If you’re intersted in source code there are several infinite runner starter packs that can be purchased on the asset store, both 2d and 3d. These are complete projects with well commented (usually) source code and full art and sound assets.
